Following his retirement as Laboratory Manager John continues to assist as a GMP advisor with new builds. He has over 30 years’ experience within the health service in pharmaceutical quality control and helped to validate several pharmacy and radiopharmacy aseptic suite developments.
John has been a member of the Microbiology Protocols group since its inception in 2005 to produce annex 1 of Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services 4th edition. Since then the group has developed a number of ‘Yellow Cover’ documents and advice notes on microbiological aspects of aseptic services. The group completed several chapters of the 5th revision of the guide. He is currently writing several papers for publication on aspects of pharmaceutical laboratory microbiological environmental monitoring.
